This Kuru Toga Advance features an updated "W Speed" mechanism, which rotates the lead twice as fast as standard Kuru Toga pencils so that the lead gets sharpened twice as quickly. 

Standard Kuru Toga pencils rotate the lead once every 40 strokes, while the Kuru Toga Advance rotates the lead once every 20 strokes. 

The Kurotoga patented lead mechanism continously rotates the pencil as you write, with a spring-loaded clutch that twists everytime you lift the pencil from the paper. This allows the pencil lead to wear down uniformly, creating a sharp writing experieince.

Please note that the Kuru Toga mechanism’s functionality is influenced by an individual’s writing style, and as such, it does not guarantee a perfectly sharp tip 100% of the time. The more frequently you lift the pencil while writing, the more rotation it will have.

A fine pencil for its price

I got a red variant of one of these pencils around a year ago and I loved it, while my handwriting was still personally terrible the pencil functioned great; The pencil wrote well, functioned as written on the packaging and was easy to take apart (most of the way) and clean when the impulse took me.
Cheers for the quick replacements Kizuna the pencil shaped hole in my heart is filled :)
PS its four stars because i take those ratings more seriously soz
